PLAY (Public Land Access Year-round) began in 1999 due in large part to the continuing closure of roads and trails on public lands. The founding group had a vision that by working with the public land managers, more roads and trails would remain open for continued motorized public access. PLAY has been instrumental in opening trails throughout North Central Idaho and Eastern Washington. Although we continue to see closures on our public lands, the relationships we have with the United States Forest Service, Idaho Department of Lands and US Army Corps of Engineers has made the future of continued motorized access to our public lands more promising. While continuing to fight to keep roads and trails open, we also promote the "Tread Lightly" ideology. We believe the future of OHV usage is always being threatened; therefore we must be good stewards of the land. PLAY also holds annual Poker Runs in the spring and summer along with weekend rides. We encourage you to come to a PLAY meeting to see what is going on. Your paid membership will also get you a bi-monthly newsletter and email alerts.
